Skapa Linens
A catalogue site for a hospitality-linen supplier whose entire range is white — no cart and no colour swatches, just sizes, thread counts and per-unit pricing, with a product-aware inquiry form that lands straight in the inbox.

The brief
Skapa Linen LLP supplies hospitality-grade bed linen, inserts and towelling to hotels, serviced apartments and short-stay hosts. The catch that shaped the whole project: every product is strictly white.
There are no colours, no prints and no swatches to sell — the only things that differentiate one item from another are its size, its thread count or GSM, and its price.
They also don't sell online. This is a wholesale and made-to-order business with no minimum order, priced from a distributor cost sheet in per-unit MRP. What they needed was not a store but a credible, self-serve catalogue: somewhere a procurement manager or an Airbnb host could see exactly what Skapa makes, check the specs and pricing, and send a structured inquiry — by email or WhatsApp — in under a minute.
The old address (skapalinen.com) had a placeholder site and inquiries were going nowhere. The task was to build the real thing and get it live on a proper subdomain of the brand.
The objective
Four goals set the shape of the build — and ruled an e-commerce platform out from the start.
- Catalogue, not commerce. Let trade buyers browse products, sizes, thread count / GSM and per-unit price, then inquire. No cart, no checkout, no accounts.
- Design around specifications, not colour. Turn the all-white constraint into the organising idea, so spec tables and pricing do the work a colour palette usually does.
- Make inquiring effortless. A single form that reaches the inbox reliably, plus one-tap WhatsApp, with the form adapting to whatever product is chosen.
- Cheap, fast and easy to maintain. A static site the owner can update in one file, hosted for next to nothing, versioned in Git.
How we approached it
From the cost sheet to a live subdomain, in four moves.
Discovery & positioning
We started from the cost sheet and the constraints: an all-white range, no minimum order, MRP pricing, and a hospitality audience that buys in bulk. That ruled out an e-commerce build and pointed to an inquiry-led catalogue. We mapped the range into three groups — Bed Linen (thread count), Inserts & Filled (GSM / fill) and Bath (GSM) — and settled the copy voice: practical, trade-literate, and quietly premium.
Design
The brand accent — a deep petrol teal — was lifted straight from the SKAPA wordmark and locked as the single accent across a warm-white, greige palette. A high-contrast editorial serif (Cormorant Garamond) paired with a clean grotesque (Manrope) gives it a catalogue-like, quietly expensive feel. Every product is a card with an at-a-glance spec line and an expandable specification table. Because the range is white, the tables — size, thread count or GSM, and “Starting from ₹” pricing — carry the page.
Build
Built as a static site — hand-written HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript, no framework or build step — so it stays fast and trivial to host. The standout interaction is a product-aware inquiry form: choosing a product repopulates the Size and Thread-count / GSM menus with only the options valid for that item, so a buyer never picks an impossible combination. The form submits through Web3Forms (form-to-email, no server) and every WhatsApp button opens a pre-filled chat to the business number. A required consent step and a DPDP-aware policy page cover the data collection.
Launch
The project was put under Git and pushed to GitHub, hosted on Netlify, and moved onto the brand subdomain linen.skapa.in with automatic SSL. The live WhatsApp number and Web3Forms key were wired in and tested end to end, the contact address was corrected to a mailbox the client actually controls, and caching was set to revalidate on every load so updates always appear.
One colour. Every specification
With nothing to differentiate on colour, the catalogue is built around specs. Each product group is a clean grid of cards; every card shows a headline spec, a “Starting from ₹” price, and an expandable table with the exact sizes and thread count or GSM.

Browse, inquire, receive a quote
No cart and no prices to pay online. A simple three-step explainer sets expectations: find the specs, send an inquiry or message on WhatsApp, get a quote — with warehouse stock shipping fast and made-to-order in about three weeks.

An inquiry form that thinks about the product
The conversion point. Pick a product and the Size and Thread-count / GSM menus filter to just that item's real options; quantity has no minimum. It submits to the inbox via Web3Forms, offers WhatsApp as an alternative, and requires agreement to the privacy policy before sending.

The tech stack
No build step, no framework, no database. The site is a handful of static files that update in one place, are versioned in Git, and use revalidating cache headers so redeploys appear immediately.
Clean on any device
A lightweight static build that loads quickly and reflows properly on mobile — where most WhatsApp-first buyers will actually find it.

The impact
What changed for the business, and what changed for the buyer on the other end of the URL.
For the business
- A real trade storefront — replaces a placeholder page and manually emailed price lists with a self-serve catalogue that presents the full range and current MRP.
- Structured inquiries, ready to quote — every submission arrives with product, size, spec, quantity and contact details by email, plus a WhatsApp channel for quick conversations.
- Near-zero running cost — a static site on Netlify with no e-commerce platform or transaction fees, updatable in a single file and versioned in Git.
- Compliant by default — a DPDP-aware privacy policy and a required consent step cover the data the form collects.
For the buyer
- Everything that matters, at a glance — product, size, thread count or GSM, and per-unit price: exactly the variables that count for an all-white range.
- No wrong turns — the product-aware form only ever offers valid sizes and specifications for the chosen item.
- Inquire in under a minute — one short form to the inbox, or a pre-filled WhatsApp chat, with no account and no checkout.
- Fast and clean on any device — a lightweight static build that loads quickly and reflows properly on mobile.
